Amazon today launched a new cloud service for Android smartphones that allows device owners to store up to 5GB of photos online for free. The service, called Amazon Cloud Drive Photos, is an extension of Cloud Drive to Android devices in a photos-focused way. According to Amazon, "Photos you store in Cloud Drive are surfaced in the app and photos stored via the app are available within Cloud Drive from computers." The photo drive provides one-tap uploading of entire photo albums from either phones or tablets. Photos stored in the cloud can then easily be shared via email and Facebook, and can be viewed on phones, tablets, and computers. The application and service are free to use, though those looking for more storage can buy an additional 20GB for $10 per year.

Apple introduces new 13-inch MacBook Pro with a Retina display
After much rumor, at Apple's iPad and Mac event today they've now taken the covers off the 13-Inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display.
Much like the 15-Inch MacBook Pro announced earlier this year, the 13-Inch MacBook Pro drops the optical drive, adds in two Thunderbolt and two USB 3.0 ports along with HDMI and the typicial SD card slot. You'll also find a 3.5mm headphone jack and finally, the new Magsafe 2 adapter are all in place.
To achieve a 20 percent thinner profile that brings the 13-Inch to a 0.75-inch thickness with a weight of only 3.57lbs, Apple had to sacrifice discrete graphics so internally, you'll be making use of the Ivy Bridge processors integrated HD 4000 graphics to power that 2560 x 1600 screen resolution.
The new 13-Inch MacBook Pro with Retina ships today starting at $1699 with the base model coming with a 2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM along with a 128GB SSD drive and prices go up from there depending on your configuration which, can reach into over $3200 fully specced out with 2.9GHz Dual-core Intel Core i7 and a 768GB SSD drive.

Microsoft announces Xbox Music iTunes competitor, coming to PC, Xbox 360, Windows Phone, Android and iOS devices
The Xbox Music database contains more than 30 million tracks.
Streaming music revenues up 40% Xbox Music will become available on Xbox 360 games consoles from Tuesday. It will become available on Windows-based devices after the launch of Windows 8 towards the end of the month.
The service replaces Microsoft's Zune media service, which was discontinued in June. With a database of about 30 million songs, the Xbox Music catalogue is larger than that of Apple's iTunes, which has more than 26 million individual tracks. The free version of the service will enable users to stream music, with adverts appearing every 15 minutes."As an entertainment company, music is an important ingredient on its own and as a part of different user experiences," said Xbox Music general manager Jerry Johnson. Mr Johnson added that research carried out by Microsoft 18 months ago suggested that Xbox owners spent 60% of their time on the console using entertainment services rather than playing video games.Film service Netflix, BBC iPlayer and sports TV network ESPN are all available via the Xbox console. I'm looking forward to see what it has to offer and would also like to see if it can complete with apples iTunes with controls the market at the moment. X Box Music is expected to be released on X Box 360' windows 8 as well as windows 8 devices, IPhone, iPad, iPod and select android devices.

Softbank Expected to Buy 70% of Sprint for $20 Billion
Softbank is set to acquire 70% of Sprint for a total of $20 billion. Stating people familiar with the discussions, The Wall Street Journal reports that the deal could be announced as early as Monday. Softbank will pay Sprint $8 billion out right for an unclear number of shares and then an additional $12 billion in shares from the market. Current Sprint CEO Dan Hesse is expected to remain at the head of Sprint after the dust settles. The partial acquisition by Softbank would give Sprint immediate access to a large amount of cash to fund operations, further build out and improve its CDMA and LTE networks.. Sprint admitted that it was in talks with Softbank last week, although nothing has been announced expect to hear something soon.

The up coming rumored iPad mini event to be focused on new hardware as well as iBooks and education
So i read today that the up coming rumored Ipad mini event is the focus on education Ibooks and hardware i cant wait to see what unfolds in the upcoming weeks.
"We heard yesterday from some very reliable sources that Apple would be holding an event to launch the iPad mini later this month; October 23 to be more precise. Some more information is starting to slip out and it appears that the actual event may be focused on Apple’s iBooks store and of course education. The news comes from The Next Web who has now heard this from multiple sources.
In what will likely be completely unsurprising news to many, we’ve now heard from multiple sources that Apple’s as-yet-unannounced iPad mini event will have a strong focus on iBooks. Since an iPad mini would likely be squarely aimed at those who wish to partake of media on their tablets that would make a lot of sense. The event will, of course, be primarily devoted a new hardware device, which iMore first reported would be a thinner, cheaper version of Apple’s iPad. But the primary purpose of such a smaller tablet would be to act as a conduit for Apple’s content, namely iBooks publications and movies.
When you think about it, the focus on iBooks does make a lot of sense. The iPad mini would be a killer device in the education market. The fact that it would be a much more affordable device as well would make it perfect for students to carry around with all of their text books stored on it. The iPad mini event is supposedly just around the corner so we will not have much longer to wait to see what Apple has up its sleeve. We would expect the invites for the event to start arriving for the chosen few in the very early part of next week. Who's excited?"

Upgrade to blackberry 6.0 on to your blackberry bold 9700 / 9650 walkthrough
Upgraded my Blackberry Bold 9650 9700 with the brand new OS6 this morning. Smoother menus, faster loading applications, less issues!
You will need to download OS6 (updated link), and BBSAK 1.7.
Works on my Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit Desktop
Upgraded from OS5 this morning.
Main Tips: MAKE SURE BLACKBERRY DESKTOP MANAGER IS UPDATED TO LATEST VERSION FROM BLACKBERRY WEBSITE.
FOR BBSAK: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A VERSION THAT WORKS ON YOUR WINDOWS. IT MAY NOT BE 1.7, it MAY BE THE LATEST ONE (1.8.5) THAT WORKS. ON MY WINDOWS 7 COMPUTER 1.7 WORKS. 1.8.5 DID NOT WORK BECAUSE WHEN I CLICKED "LOAD OS" Button IT GAVE AN ERROR. SO I UNINSTALLED 1.8.5 AND LOCATED 1.7.
There is pretty much no way you can brick your blackberry if you are just using these programs unless you disconnect your blackberry half way through or something!
Upgrade your Blackberry Bold 9700 by following the links:
1. Connect your Blackberry to Blackberry Desktop Manager (DM) and Backup everything.
2. EXIT out of DM. Make sure no other Blackberry Process is running in Windows Task Manager.
2a: Go to your computer, delete the vendor.xml file found at this location on most Windows PC machines: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader . This is so that DM will recognise the update later.
3. Visit http://www.mediafire.com/?zqzndyyijmt and download BBSAK 1.7 Installer. Install application.
4. Download OS 6 application from:
http://www.zshare.net/download/822542... - BOLD 9700 OS 6
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XMRU46WR - Pearl 3G OS 6
http://hotfile.com/dl/80049736/e9558d... - Curve 3G 9300 OS 6
or
(if files removed, search for the exe only then im sure they will be updated soon somewhere...trnts sites)
5. Once downloaded, Install 0S6 exe on your computer. (exe file)
6. Run BBSAK 1.7 9 or whichever version works on your computer (C:\Program Files\BBSAK) or C:\Program Files (x86)\BBSAK depending on what Windows you are using. (MAKE SURE BLACKBERRY DM IS NOT LOADED OR RUNNING)
7. Click Load OS (the BBSAK Program will automatically scan your computer for installed OS's)
8. Click next, next.
9. BBSAK will begin installing OS 6 and will reboot your Blackberry after going through a number of steps.
10. Close BBSAK completely after Blackberry has re-booted itself.
11. Load DM and backup everything as normal. (If you removed the XML file in Step 2a, your compter will recognise the Blackberry as normal)
Notes:
- Blackberry Desktop Manager may allow you to install OS 6 after you installed the OS exe file. If so, try it in there as normal. If not, then try the steps above.
- Always backup your Blackberry before updating anything.
- Make sure you run through all the steps above ensuring you have downloaded the software you need FIRST!
- BBSAK 1.8.5 did NOT work on my Windows 7 Computer. (http://www.bbsak.org/)
- BBAK is a swiss army knife software which does all the things that DM does but in a simple interface.
- Whatsapp! does not seem to download from their site for some reason, doesn't recognize the OS, if someone gets it to work comment below.
- If you do not like the OS, you can always downgrade by going to DM, Click Device, Update Device, and then View other versions. Downgrade as normal.

All about Siri in IOS6 iPhone 5
Siri lets you use your voice to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls, and more.* Ask Siri to do things just by talking the way you talk. Siri is so easy to use and does so much, you'll keep finding more and more ways to use it.
It understands what you say. And knows what you mean.
Talk to Siri as you would to a person. Say something like "Tell my wife I'm running late" or "Remind me to call the vet." Siri not only understands what you say, it's smart enough to know what you mean. So when you ask "Any good burger joints around here?" Siri will reply "I found a number of burger restaurants near you." Then you can say "Hmm. How about tacos?" Siri remembers that you just asked about restaurants, so it will look for Mexican restaurants in the neighborhood. And Siri is proactive, so it will question you until it finds what you're looking for.

IPHONE 5 CAMERA Review in IOS6
While the iPhone 4S camera is among the best on any cellphone, Apple is not resting on its laurels, so we're going to see a much improved camera on the iPhone 5.
The A6 chip in the new iPhone opens the door to better specs, including faster capture of photos, noise reduction and better low-light performance -- Apple claims these updates will yield up to two additional ƒ stops, which is significant. It will be interesting to test against the new Nokia Lumia 920 which is also touting excellent low-light performance.
Apple has also added a panorama mode, allowing owners to capture wraparound images with ease (and without third-party panorama apps, of which there are many good ones) The resulting image can be up to 28 megapixels.
The camera hardware specs are similar to the 4S, with an 8-megapixel sensor and a five-element lens. Apple is also adding a sapphire lens crystal cover, along with a new image processor built into the A6 chip that adds a "smart filter" for better color matching.
Apple also says it has improved the video performance, with better video stabilization and facial recognition. The iPhone 5 will have the ability to grab a still from a video.
